The collaboration with GVP team has been instrumental in implementing sustainable measures. The GVP team is providing comprehensive support to the project team throughout the IGBC certification process. This assistance encompasses guiding the project through the initial registration phase, facilitating the selection of a GVP empaneled green building consultant, and maintaining ongoing coordination with the IGBC. The GVP team's involvement ensures the effective implementation of recommended features at the project site. Notably, the project has embraced several of the features suggested by the GVP team, showcasing a collaborative effort towards achieving sustainable and environmentally responsible outcomes. The project integrated various green features, including:

  1. Utilization of open-grid grass pavers on over 60% of non-roof hard-paved areas and high-albedo materials on 96% of exposed roofs.

  2. Incorporation of green spaces covering 30% of the site, including grass, native vegetation, and fruit-bearing plants.

  3. Implementation of dedicated bicycle parking for over 5% of Dwelling Units to encourage eco-friendly commuting.

  4. Ensuring access to basic necessities and amenities within the site and a 1KM walking distance.

  5. Installation of on-site rainwater harvesting structures for 100% runoff capture from roofs and non-roof areas.

  6. Adoption of water-efficient plumbing fixtures in all units, achieving over 40% water savings.

  7. Establishment of a 600 KLD on-site Sewage Treatment Plant for 100% wastewater treatment and reuse.

  8. Integration of an energy-efficient building envelope with a RETV value of 9.6 W/m2.

  9. Implementation of efficient lighting systems in internal and external spaces, along with parking areas.

  10. Incorporation of energy-saving measures in pumps, motors, and equipment.

  11. Implementation of a Green Procurement Policy, with over 45% of construction materials Green Pro certified.

  12. Sourcing over 75% of construction materials within a 400km radius.

  13. Utilization of 57% Eco-friendly wood in new wood-based products.

  14. Diversion of 75% of total construction waste from landfills.

  15. Maintenance of adequate daylight levels and ventilation in regularly occupied spaces.

  16. Design for visual connectivity between interior and exterior spaces in 50% of occupied areas.

  17. Use of low VOC paints and coatings for indoor air quality maintenance.

  18. Inclusion of well-being facilities like a Community Centre, Swimming pool, club house, and outdoor games/meditation area.

  19. Adoption of Green Housekeeping chemicals in all common areas.

The projected impacts of the project are noteworthy and contribute significantly to various aspects.

  1. Annual energy savings – 798.52MWh

  2. Annual water savings – 46.12ML

  3. Annual GHG emissions offset – 734.64TCO2e
